GREAT NEW 2006
 In
2006, the Puy du Fou Park prolongs its voyage in the time with the most
incredible spectacle ever created in the park : "Musketeer of Richelieu"!
In a giant theatre of the 17th century (100m length,
17m top and 3500 sitted places), you will live the romantic adventures
of the "Musketeer of Richelieu". A fantastic swashbuckling
spectacle where your heart will beat at the rhythm of the engagements
to the sword, ballets flamenco and capers of the Andalusian horses.

minutes of action, cascades and new special effects for one at time
of the King Louis XIII and of his musketeers.
A long ago, in a region of
the France Kingdom, a place called Puy du fou. A man will build there
his castle, Rene of Puy du Fou was his name. He will make there
of his stronghold, a place where all the lords and ladies of France
will be pleased to remain.
Then one day, or better is worth it to say a sad day,
very stopped, more lords, more castle, the wars are followed and resemble
each other in their madness of destruction. And, however, fortunately
they do not destroy all. Nature remains main ground. It gradually, with
the passing of years, will cover with its green coat, this Puy du Fou
and jealously will keep it hidden until the day when...
 There is more than 20 years, in an area of France called the Vendée,
a man have a crazy dream , a gigantic project. It has the idea, the
ambition, remains to find the place to carry it out. It will seek, to
seek a long time without never discouraging itself. Finally it is the
meeting of this man and this magic place from where will spout out this
project; to give from the life in this place deadened since so a long
time. The man, Philippe de Villiers, the place, Puy du Fou.
There is not any more but to
raise the handles and to make revive the history. To write episodes
of the Vendean life,  to put in scene these images . Courage and tenacity are there and
moreover, it has with him a major asset, the heart of the Vendean ones.
15 communes launch out in the project and thus give rise to what is
perhaps, one of the most beautiful parks of attraction of France.
One day is not enough for all to see. Too bad... We will thus describe
you only the spectacles to which we could assist. All more beautiful
ones than the others, leaving you dreamers and magic at each end. And
that to say music, selected pieces of music which make fly tighten you

THE
BATTLE OF THE KEEP - 25MN DURATION
If you have chance, you perhaps selected in the public, will be equipped
in "Damoiseau or Damoiselle"  and led in the platform with the Isabeau Queen, to follow the spectacle.
If not, be not disappointed, from where you will be you will be able
just as easily to follow the history of Isabeau and Guyon. A buffoon
will start by creating the animation of share his jokes, then, suddenly,
rising like ground, a music. For the film enthusiasts, it will be easy
to recognize the original band of film "the last of Mohicans". It announces
the beginning of the spectacle...
We are in 1429, the war makes rage between French and English. Isabeau
and Guyon will be left, it leaves to the war. The knights of Puy du
Fou advance then towards the public, carrying high and to trust their
color and will deliver themselves under our eyes, with true tournaments.
 Then Isabeau and Guyon launch out in their turn, in a true ballet
of good-bye where the horse carries out the dance. One remains quiet,
it is splendid. Guyon leaves, but the valorous knights return and devote
themselves to numbers of acrobatics where the horse and the man do not
make that so much harmony is perfect. One remains the cut breath.
But English arrives with their terrible machines of war, spitting of
the flames. The battle is announced terrible. The lions face the flower
of Guyon lily will not return.....
To enclose the spectacle, splendid to release doves comes to fly over
the public. Ah! beautiful representation that you made us live there
the knights and beautiful Isabeau. haut

SPECTACLE
OF FALCONRY - 25MN DURATION
 In the heart even of the old castle of Puy du Fou , built in XIIème
century and destroyed in XVème by English, in the place even or, formerly,
the visitor will be the happy one privileged of a spectacle where only
the bird is a King.
Tube, White Lady, Falcon, Eagle of Empire, Vultures etc... as many raptors
circling with the top of the going public
even some times until being posed on the head  of a spectator. Certain birds will spring with same the nacelle of
Puy du Fou which is suspended with more 100m height and what seems to
you so small then seen ground, right will arrive on you, then you will
be amazed by the immense majesty at these raptors. One will thus attend
a true ballet of vultures, they arrive , one does not know any more
where to give head and especially eyes. As for final, quite simply superb
with this waltz of birds passing very close to the public of their soft
feathers.
THE LEGEND OF
SAINT PHILIBERT - 25MN DURATION
 Us here in a charming village at the edge of water, where
everyone saw peacefully and where humour reigns. Suddenly monks arrive,
they carry with them the relics of St Philibert which they want to hide
in the village, because the Vikings are with their continuation.
They emerge to put the village at fire and blood.
A drakkar emerges from the depths of water, the battle makes rage, one
throws to water  the relics of this poor St Philibert.
Then, suddenly silence this fact, the miracle is achieved. St Philibert
emerges from water and comes to preach peace. Knees with ground the
Vikings convert and are forgiven. The village finds peace and the public
applauds this stuffed spectacle of special effects, before the floods
do not absorb the decoration for the following spectacle.

THE STADIUM
- 40MN DURATION
 Initially one is surprised by the place. In front of us, draws up
a true stadium, colized of Rome has almost its twin. It is imposing.
One enters the arena then, one settles and one waits with impatient
this spectacle. The public is of hell and heating the stage in Holla!
Suddenly, the emperor appears. He enters an insane
anger, when he sees traced on  the ground of this arena the symbol of the Christendom... of fish.
The Roman legions, followed enter then symbol of Rome, the she-wolf.
Then those follow which will die, the Christians. With their continuation,
geese, ostriches, dromedaries, and an hyena of Abyssinie enclose this
procession. The true spectacle now will start!
Damien, honest centurion, who by love for Soline a Christian woman,
will be considered  with the eyes of the emperor a traitor, will have to fight against
gladiateurs. Bloody duels with the sound of a music which takes to you
literally "with the tripe". Victorious Damien, another demolished is
imposed to him, the race of tank. The quadrigae enter then in scene.
Époustouflant, I will not say any more. To see!
But, even winner, Damien still are not forgiven and Soline not thrown
to the lions. The deer enters stadium  then. Raised inch, lowered inch, the public is divided, but in fact
finally the raised inches will carry it because only the good deserves
to reign.
This reconstitution is quite simply extraordinary. Beautiful demolished.
This race of tank does not have to redden of that of Ben Hur. One passes
40mn of pleasure, cascades not-stop, and one does not regret the 1h30
of waiting that it was necessary for us to penetrate in this stadium
truer than natural.
And if one day, you have the chance to go there, are
sympathetic... raise the inch! haut

SPECTACLE OF THE
FUNAMBULIST - 7MN DURATION
7mn where his breath is retained. Whereas it evolves/moves on a wire,
us another public let us be fixed on its feet so much one trembles to
see it falling. It jumps, it dances, it juggles, God that it frightens
us! But always smiling, it continues to slip on its wire, majestic and
skilful with the sound of the beats of our hearts. And it is only one
time our funambulist gone down again on ground that one blows and that
one thinks that one spent a good moment all the same. Cheer.
MAGICIAN MÉNESTREL
- 13MN DURATION
New spectacle of Puy du Fou this year. Who of the ménestrel or his wife
is more the joker? In all cases, the rate/rhythm is unrestrained, amusing
and with final one still did not include/understand it and the tricks!
Is not a magician who wants.

 THE ROSERY AND ITS 5000 ROSE TREES
Here is the ideal framework to stroll between two spectacles. Pleasant
ballade in the medium of the colors and the emanations. Calms serene
reigns there making forget for a few moments the effervescence which
grouille neighbourhood.
 ARBORETUM
Another place favourable with the walk. With the shade of the black
poplar, fresne, holm oak or coplame of America to quote only them, never
nature will have been also ready of the public and will not have led
it with as much enthusiasm of attraction in attraction.
 THE VILLAGE XVIIIÈME
Extremely animated, with its many craftsmen and their marvellous
know-how. Push a door and you will discover a talent. The cabinetmaker,

What we
did not have time to see but that the park also proposes
 The MEADOW, with the cattle shed of grandfather,
the theatre for children, the animal academy, the dens of the wolves,
the paths of the burrows.
WOOD AND the FLOWERED VALLEY, with the theatre of water
(our regret), the clearing with the deer, the flowered valley, the watery
organ, the path of the life of the stones, the sunken lane multiscenic,
the copper quintet.
The MEDIEVAL CITY, where, in
addition to the magician ménestrel and the old trades of the means â Ge, you will be able to visit the Romance vault and its crypt and
to attend a spectacle of street.
The VILLAGE XVIIIème, there too, put aside the funambulist and the craftsmen,
you will be able to listen to traditional musicians, to attend the "meetings
with the history" on the history of the village, to see the mill and
its cascade or even to dream peacefully in front of the chime and its

The CINÉSCÉNIE
It is the history of Jacques Maupillier, peasant Vendean.
Animated by 800 actors and 50 riders, one says of this spectacle
that it is single in the world. It is quite possible. 1h40  of really large spectacle with the voices of Philippe Noiret, Robert
Hossein, Marie Dubois or Suzanne Flon to quote only they, so much they
are numerous to have to lend their voices to this splendid and enthralling
history. Shivers and emotions guaranteed.
The special effects are considerable. As for the fireworks, they are
more than 300 to set ablaze the scene and that to say water jets if
not that they are almost magic. The whole on
a scene of 15ha, with the feet of the castle of Puy du Fou you had already
seen so large scene? The unit extending in front of a panoramic scene
from 13 500 places.
The place is really with the height of the event
which the public will live during these 100mn.
 With the favour of the night, the scenes are to set up itself and
when the 1500 projectors will ignite, it is to light an alive fresco.
Each scene and with it only worthy of a masterpiece, to say to you what
the unit gives... not question, I prefer to leave you dreamer and to
give myself the desire for discovering it. In all cases, thank you with
its 1300 voluntary which each evening of representation are faithful
to the station and will have made us pass one evening unforgettable
and will have given the desire for returning, and cheer with Mr
De Villiers for this superb setting in scene.
Standing ovation, offered by the public to the end of the spectacle,

Restoration :
 3 restaurants are at your disposal in the park. Obligatory reservation
evenings of cinéscénie. It is recommended to hold for its arrival with
the park. To count approximately 20mn of waiting. The prices go from
17 to 20€ and 8€ for the children.
All these restaurants offer animations. We had chosen the Market Rebirth
but were disappointed a little. We expected more spectacle.
For the amateurs of rapid restoration, several points on the whole of
the park.

Only with the entry of the park. But do not forget that the village
XVIIIème offers many gravers of craftsmen to you where you will be able
